yeah, that seems to be correct. It also works with version from
squeeze-backports.
After some final checks this will be closed with the next version in
sid. The solution is the default setting of
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http=true in the pref.js file.
With this icedove will always ask the user which application to for any
kind of link.
