Package: xkb-data Version: 2.5.1-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
according to the comment in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/altwin, the option altwin(ctrl_alt_win) should map "Ctrl" to the Alt keys, "Alt" to the Win keys, and "Win" to the Ctrl keys. However, it re-maps only "Ctrl" and "Alt", which effectively removes the "Win" modifier from the keyboard. Note that the help string in the Gnome system settings describes the actual behavior, not the intended one. Hence, changing this mapping would make it necessary to correct this string as well (and possibly also in KDE or other programs). Perhaps it would be better to simply correct the comment and add another option that actually does what altwin(ctrl_alt_win) was supposed to do. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-486 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
