Package: file Version: 5.11-1 Followup-For: Bug #659355 Hi,
The lack of optimization can be felt when running Lintian on large source packages (e.g. eclipse-cdt[1]). When rebuilding 5.11-1 with -O2 it reduces the runtime with 20-25% on amd64 (~40 -> 30~ seconds). So, I, for one, would greatly appreciate if file could get recompiled with optimization.
