Package: racoon Version: 1:0.6.1-1 Severity: normal Utter stupidity in racoon-tool makes everyone wait 25s on every racoon shutdown. This can be quite catasthropic if the machine is being shutdown in a hurry due to imminent power failure for example.
The fucking thing should kill -15, sleep at most 1s, kill -0 to see if it is still there, and repeat it at most 25 times, then kill -9 it and go right ahead. It *definately* should not kill -15 then sleep 25 then kill -9 like it is doing now. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.13.3+libata+bluesmoke+imq+lm85 Locale: LANG=pt_BR.ISO-8859-1, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.ISO-8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages racoon depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.58 Debian configuration management sy ii ipsec-tools 1:0.6.1-1 IPsec tools for Linux ii libc6 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7g-3 SSL shared libraries ii perl 5.8.7-5 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction racoon recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * racoon/config_mode: racoon-tool -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
