Just a "me too" for this annoying bug!
Sometimes disconnecting/reconnecting for 5-10seconds the cable works,
sometimes running
ethtool -r eth0
also helps (but again, just sometimes), and sometimes disabling/reenabling n-m
in the KDE n-m applet helps. But restartin the n-m daemon immediately solves
