I have problem reproducing this. Here's what I did.

 * installed a squeeze VM
 * installed firebird2.5-superclassic
 * dpkg-reconfigure firebird2.5-superclassic (to enable it and set
   a SYSDBA password). the password is in
   /etc/firebird/2.5/SYSDBA.password as expected
 * add sid to sources.list and 'apt-get install
   firebird2.5-superclassic'
   No questions are asked, the password is kept

Can you help me reproduce the problem?
