Package: thttpd Version: 2.23beta1-3 Policy strongly recommends using invoke-rc.d for starting daemons, instead of running /etc/init.d/whatever directly. invoke-rc.d checks whether the current runlevel allows the service to start, and has a hook for the sysadmin to do further decisions.
