Package: xfce4-terminal Version: 0.4.8-1+b1 Severity: normal This problem does not always happen. The most reliable way to reproduce that I've found is:
- In xfce4-terminal, log into another host using mosh. - If necessary, use "clear", so that the cursor is not at the bottom - Choose a moderately-sided directory, and "ls" it a few times, until the cursor gets to the bottom and triggers a scroll. Ideally, the cursor should reach the bottom simultaneously with the need to scroll a few lines (not too many), in order for the problem to have a high probability of happening. Result: the bottom line, or bottom few lines, are not drawn, the space is simply blank. Temporarily covering the terminal with a different window in order to force it to redraw fixes it, as does forcing another scroll by hitting Enter again or something. But it's annoying and distracting, especially since I also often see the problem in other situations, such as when I use "less". This only seems to happen with the combination mosh+xfce4-terminal. It doesn't happen with regular ssh, and it doesn't happen with gnome-terminal or xterm. The mosh version is 1.2.2-1. Using "screen" doesn't change anything (both a mosh in a local screen, and a remote screen in mosh, shows the problem). And I don't use compositing, in case it matters. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nb_NO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages xfce4-terminal depends on: ii exo-utils 0.6.2-5 ii libatk1.0-0 2.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-33 ii libdbus-1-3 1.6.0-1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.100-1 ii libexo-1-0 0.6.2-5 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.32.3-1 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.10-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii libvte9 1:0.28.2-5 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii libxfce4util4 4.8.2-1 Versions of packages xfce4-terminal recommends: ii dbus-x11 1.6.0-1 xfce4-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
