Hi Peter, two things:
1. you can very easily solve this yourself by editing ~/.freemind/user.properties and uncommenting and setting the variable 'default_browser_command_other_os' to the value you like. 2. in version 0.8.0, not yet in Debian for different reasons but available from the FreeMind site directly (I'm also packaging those), read the release notes for details, this problem is solved with a small utility called 'urlsee'.
