As the changelog of gtk+3.0 says, this was a temporary workaround for mutter 3.2 and I don't plan to keep this patch for wheezy. I would suggest you upgrade mutter/gnome-shell (i.e. everything) to 3.4. Everything would just mean you are having a weird 3.2/3.4 mix which nobody really is running and testing.
