Package: rsync Version: 3.0.7-2 Severity: important
Hi, you should really think to allow by default to make rsync to work ;) I just tried rsync, to move from Ibm sync default app on Linux platform, and rsync isn't so much reliable to backup a server (independently on the FS) :) Here a quick example cp -r Documents/contacs /tmp ~/Documents$ rsync -av contacs/ /tmp/ sending incremental file list ./ rsync: failed to set times on "/tmp/.": Operation not permitted (1) sent 463 bytes received 16 bytes 958.00 bytes/sec total size is 284326 speedup is 593.58 rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1060) [sender=3.0.7] Please could you make rsync working, and more reliable while copying. I hope that it may contribute to improvements of rsync.
