Severity: wishlist

Hi.

The docs in /usr/share/git-core/contrib/hooks/post-receive-email suggest :

For example, on debian the hook is stored in
 /usr/share/git-core/contrib/hooks/post-receive-email:

  chmod a+x post-receive-email
  cd /path/to/your/repository.git
  ln -sf /usr/share/git-core/contrib/hooks/post-receive-email hooks/post-receive

However, I'm a bit dubious on suggesting to change permissions on a file
provided by a package, or an alternative consisting in copying the file into
the hooks dir for every repo.

Hence my suggestion to provide an example wrapper in the contribs, that would
just pipe and call the script provided by the package so that one only
duplicates the wrapper and make it executable in every repo.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
