Package: ruby-debian Followup-For: Bug #585448 I recently upgraded from Squeeze and also got hit by this bug.
Since this bug usually only show up when upgrading to Wheezy and normaly doesn't affect Squeeze, should I reopen it against Wheezy? I believe that this bug really should be considered as release-critical for Wheezy, as it prevent upgrading. I've upgraded using 'apt-get upgrade' followed by 'apt-get dist-upgrade', and the only way to complete the installation was to either remove apt-listbugs or apply by hand the proposed patch. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=43;filename=dpkg-ruby.patch;att=1;bug=585448 I've done the latter and the patch worked fine for me. The patch is trivial and fix a real bug, and more importantly it is necessary to allow upgrading to Wheezy, so I think it should be included in a point-release *before* the release of Wheezy.
