Hi, i can confirm Simon's bug report. I'm also using Debian Testing on AMD64 and i get the same error message that the file or directory can't be found. I've tried the following without success.
1. I created the directory "Videos" in $HOME which is the default location for saving screencasts. No effect. 2. I purged gnome-shell and gnome-session and reinstalled both packages. 3. I created a new user and tried to use the recording feature in a clean $HOME-environment but without effect. The only thing which i haven't tried yet is to install Debian Wheezy with Gnome 3 from scratch. I assume the problem is related to the upgrade from 3.2 to 3.4 because i can also remember screencast recording was functional in 3.2. Unfortunately i haven't been using this feature since then and can't narrow down the problem. I'll add more information if i can find more hints or even a solution. Regards Markus
