Some more information for other folks: The "Joy"[0] theme was chosen as the Official Debian theme for Wheezy. Most components have been updataed, including d-i, and desktop-base.
A NMU contained a splash screen that fits the Joy theme[1]. The NMU was rejected after a maintainer upload the day it was to exit the DELAYED queue. Since the package name is claiming to be a Wheezy theme, it must have the Wheezy artwork. This is the last package I know of that embeds SpaceFun, which is the Squeeze theme.
