Package: dpkg-dev Version: 1.16.8 Severity: normal When packaging from VCS with 3.0 (quilt) and single-debian-patch, the debian/patches/debian-changes file generated has its entries in random order (instead of normalised by ASCIIbetically sorting the pathnames of the files containing diffs before concatenating them into the debian-changes file), thus introducing random noise into debdiffs betwen different versions of a package built from the same CVS module.
Please fix this, as it eases code review. (I really hate unsorted lists, anyway.) Hm, while at it… tr '\n' ' ' in the "Foreign Architectures:" field… maybe I’m the only one who’s got two of them? But I see it now, below. But that’s cosmetic. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unreleased APT policy: (500, 'unreleased'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 m68k Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/mksh Versions of packages dpkg-dev depends on: ii base-files 6.11 ii binutils 2.22-7.1 ii bzip2 1.0.6-4 ii libdpkg-perl 1.16.8 ii make 3.81-8.2 ii patch 2.6.1-3 ii xz-utils 5.1.1alpha+20120614-1 Versions of packages dpkg-dev recommends: ii build-essential 11.5 ii clang [c-compiler] 3.1-8 ii fakeroot 1.18.4-2 ii gcc [c-compiler] 4:4.7.1-1 ii gcc-4.6 [c-compiler] 4.6.3-10 ii gcc-4.7 [c-compiler] 4.7.2-2 ii gnupg 1.4.12-4+b1 ii gpgv 1.4.12-4+b1 pn libalgorithm-merge-perl <none> ii tcc [c-compiler] 0.9.26~git20120612.ad5f375-6 Versions of packages dpkg-dev suggests: ii debian-keyring 2012.06.01 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
