No, I really mean cells (e.g. 1024 rows with 64 columns). I have just tested it at another machine with Libre Office 3.3.4 (OOO330m19 Build 401) (not Debian) and it behaves exactly in the same way. I'll see if I can find a Debian testing machine with LO, test it and submit the bug against that version.
