Apparently not; I'm not otherwise using maradns anywhere but do have a system running wheezy available for testing. Tried it there (install, move a copy of zone file I was using there, then purge); it had a problem with the zone file (which had been working on the squeeze system) but had no apparent problems doing the purge.
