I do not really know if there is something useful to display.
It might be just cool to have something like "debian linux kernle
3.3.blah blah".

But I personlly think thet to shut it down by default is the best
solution, my qnao is in a room under a desk and there is no point
having the LCD on, but other peole might like it on.
