According to `dpkg --listfiles mrtg-contrib`, the package contains
only files placed in examples. So, it is not just extra stuff in the
package, the whole package is extra stuff. 

<http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-docs.html#s12.6> does not
state that the content of examples, considered as documentation, is
granted specific rules in regard of dependancies.

No, it cannot be the case since these examples are clearly not for a
Debian GNU/Linux system.

Well, if there's a policy violation, I think I picked the appropriate
severity. If there's not, maybe the policy should mention that common
debian rules does not applies to examples/ content (If it already
does, it should be mentioned in 12.6). 

So, in your opinion, is it a policy violation, a flaw in the policy or
something in the policy I missed and that's is not proeminently
mentioned in section 12.6?
