It seems that, although XFCE isn't 100% ready yet, there should NOT be a need
to fix the missing bits by using Gnome parts, because in most cases it causes
almost a full install of Gnome due to it's dependencies.
As an example, I tried to add "user switcher" on a brand new Debian/Testings
install with xfce4/lightdm, but it seemed impossible, unless I also installed
Gnome3 (see below).
Now, the nice folks at XFCE "claims" that it should be a distro level fix and
not a XFCE issue, since they are simply responsible for making an applet
available such as xfswitch-plugin, and the method to which it's implemented is
up to the user, etc...
Just as as reference, I found on another thread that it'd be better to do the
switching via the LightDM DBus interface org.freedesktop.DisplayManager, but I
could not get any more details.
So, could someone please fix, or advise, or point me in the right direction?
