Hello Karl,
your reported bug is still active.
Your posted link showing a upstrem reported bug. This bug is marked as
fixed. So do you still get this error with the newest version of icedove
on squeeze or backports?

In the next months there will be debian 7 released and the next
migration of icedove is upcoming. So this bugreport will become a little
bit obsolete.

Please let as know if this bug can be closed.
