I overlooked it was for 1.4.99. Ok, reopened. 1.5 series is gtk3 based so these may be needed. > Your .symbols file has the wrong name and doesn't have the most > up-to-date symbols. Oh, aron, you did not remove old symbol file. OK. > I believe now in experimental is a good time to switch from gconf to > gsettings. gsettings has a lot of nice advantages for users, > sysadmins, and distros and is being actively developed. I agree. experimental has pre 1.5 version. We are tracking different upstream branches 1.4 for unstable and 1.5 for experimental. > You didn't install the bash completion information. I disagree here. I do not understand your big picture idea. Please explain why you think "needs to depend on ibus". If I add dependency as you suggested: ibus depends on ibus-python ibus-python depends on ibus Now you are suggesting to create cyclic dependency. BAD !!! Please google why it is BAD. http://people.skolelinux.org/pere/blog/Circular_package_dependencies_harms_apt_recovery.html http://lintian.debian.org/tags/intra-source-package-circular-dependency.html http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg02111.html I do not know if you know something I do not and if you are suggesting this with some reason. I am not sure your suggestion is based on some good technical back ground and have bigger change across ibus family.
