reassign 692469 udisks2 thanks On 06/11/12 15:24, Michele Cane wrote: > After upgrade external HD mounts to /media/username instead of /media > > This fact concerns also udisk2.
This is a udisks2 change; it affects gvfs because gvfs/experimental uses udisks2, whereas gvfs/unstable uses udisks version 1. Reassigning to udisks2 so the udisks2 maintainers can confirm this. > Why this change is needed? It's an upstream change in udisks2 (actually, upstream uses /run/media/$username, but Debian changes this to /media/$username to comply with the FHS). Rationale for using a per-user subdirectory: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51709#c2 (which also explains that you can add a fstab entry to force a particular disk to be mounted at a particular location).
