I still have the old drive and could hook it up to test, after I upgrade 'k3b'... However, my installed 'k3b' is version 0.12.1-2, (from last June), whereas the latest 'k3b' is v0.12.4a-3. I'm reluctant to upgrade because doing that requires removing several other packages I hope to keep. Debian 'unstable' is a little rocky right now. So I'm waiting until its safe.
