Hello Chris,

some time ago this bug was opend by you.
The reported version is'nt active in the current releases of debian.

Did this behavior is still present in the current version of icedove?
Did you check if there is a open bug on the bugzilla of mozilla? If yes
can you please provide this bureport?

For me I can't reproduce this behavior. After I collapse and reopen the 
entire tree I see all the folders in my IMAP account.
The same of course happen if I restart icedove.
