I can confirm that: ii libcairo2:amd64 1.12.2-2 amd64 ii xserver-xorg-core 2:1.12.4-3 amd64 ii xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:1.0.1-3 amd64 is working happily for me without any corruption so far (a few hour of running, but I'd normally see corruption immediately with the older xserver-xorg-core) on my NVIDIA GF106.
