Package: pptpd
Version: 1.3.4-5.1
Followup-For: Bug #692129

Dear Maintainer,

I have a similar issue with pptpd talking to pppd. The setup I have was stable
before the upgrade. Now this happens:

Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pptpd[2280]: CTRL: Client x.x.x.x control connection
started
Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pptpd[2280]: CTRL: Starting call (launching pppd, opening
GRE)
Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pppd[2281]: unrecognized option
'???#177????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????'
Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pptpd[2280]: GRE: read(fd=6,buffer=606a60,len=8196) from
PTY failed: status = -1 error = Input/output error, usually caused by
unexpected termination of pppd, check option syntax and pppd logs
Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pptpd[2280]: CTRL: PTY read or GRE write failed
(pty,gre)=(6,7)
Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pptpd[2280]: CTRL: Reaping child PPP[2281]
Nov 12 21:19:20 worm pptpd[2280]: CTRL: Client x.x.x.x control connection
finished

I assume it is related to the upgrade, since I have not changed anything at all.
