German letter sharp s is bad designed an unusable for german text.
The left side has to be a long s (Unicode 017f) rounded at the

There are to possible forms of the glyph for a retro 1920th german
sans serif (Grotesk). The one is the so called "Sulzbacher Form"
(see Futura, Drescher Grotesk, Neuzeit Grotesk) and the other is
a ligatur ligature of long s and a kind of blackletter z (see
original Erbar Grotesk, street signs in (western) Berlin).

Have a look at the typeface "Fabrik" (german word for factory)
with long s, and a few more ligatures. The typeface ist based on
Beteckna with an old style sharps and hardly reworked. Get what
you need. Please note: A few glyphs are reworked for an older
retro style, see letter t and the DIN 1451 style a.
