Package: tar
Version: 1.26-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

When I want to create archive with --numeric-owner option
command line is blocked.

tar --numeric-owner -czf archive.tgz sample_directory

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I can create archive only if I copy full command from clipboard
to command line.

This is not a big problem but it makes life difficult.
