I don't know a thing about openbox, but looking at the man page for
obm-xdg I see :
obm-xdg(1) Openbox Pipe Menu obm-xdg(1)
NAME
obm-xdg - a pipe-menu for openbox
SYNTAX
obm-xdg [options] /path/to/system.menu
That is, there is a mandatory argument to obm-xdg. Why did you expect
obm-xdg to work without that argument?
