Package: libtiff-tools
Version: 4.0.2-5
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I tried to convert a monochrome TIFF image into PDF file.
The colors of the PDF file are always negative.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steps to reproduce the bug:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Create a monochrome TIFF:
/usr/bin/gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER -sDEVICE=tiffg4
-sOutputFile=$TIFF_FILE -f $INPUT_PS_FILE

2. Convert TIFF to PDF
/usr/bin/tiff2pdf -o $PDF_FILE $TIFF_FILE

3. The PDF-File has always negative colors in comparison to the input TIFF file.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Problem does not exist in Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 (Squeeze):
# aptitude versions libtiff-tools
i    3.9.4-5+squeeze4    stable    500
Please check if the inversion switch is always on.
With this bug the generated PDFs are unusable please fix it.
Regards
Bastian
