Changing SONAME or doing symbols versioning is upstream's responsibility and
I'd prefer to not do any of them specifically for Debian.

I'll contact upstream to discuss this problem, but for now I'm going to revert
the Debian package to the 1.0.3 upstream release. Sorry for the inconvenience.
