This is a packaging error. In new qemu, additional
build dependency were introduced for virtfs, and I
overlooked it. The result is that the debian qemu
package is built w/o virtfs, while in previous
versions virtfs were enabled.

No action planned for this issue for Wheezy -- Debian
Wheezy will have qemu without virtfs. This is because
since July-2012, only bugfixes for serious bugs are
allowed to enter wheezy archive.

Post wheezy, and in wheezy-backports, we will enable
virtfs support, and will ensure it will be supported
in all subsequent versions.

Thanks,
