It is possible but makes a lot of work. The main config of your profile is located in the file prefs.js. But there are of course other files that hold configurations. You may want to play around that. In the deep of the Mozilla website are explanations what which files does. For me it was every time easier and not so much time eating to start from scratch and copy selective my address books and filters into the new profile.
