Package: luakit
Version: 2012.09.13-r1-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

On particular sites that use JavaScript the browser maxes out the CPU (e.g. all
sites from the stackexchange network).

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Open the web page with

    :open unix.stackexchange.com

and wait a few seconds (I was logged in, I don't know if that makes a
difference).

   * What was the outcome of this action?

luakit maxes out all available CPU on one processor.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Higher load within the first second, then CPU load below 1%.
