With recent xterm package installed, running xaumix prints
Unknown X terminal emulator. xaumix will invoke /usr/bin/lxterm now
(pointed by your x-terminal-emulator alternatives entry)
It'd be good if xaumix recognised
lxterm
uxterm
koi8rxterm
all as versions of xterm (they're front-ends supplied in the xterm
package).
In particular the xterm package has lxterm as its highest priority for
update-alternatives x-terminal-emulator, so gives this "Unknown" message
in the default configuration.
