When I print several documents or on my Epson Stylus Photo 750, after some

The used printer driver is CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9.
This happens on Debian wheezy (and also Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10), while I don't
get such problem with Debian Squeeze (nor Mageia 2 and Opensuse 12.2).
Hello Denis,

First get your Wheezy install up-to-date. Then, working on the
assumption this may be a USB problem, have a look at

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/872483

Comment #61 involves an Epson printer. The tests which are run there
(please see comment #56) might help to narrow down the problem.

Regards,

Brian.

Hello Brian,

thanks a lot for pointing me to that thread. Indeed, the described problem looked exactly like mine.
So, I did a full wheezy upgrade and then performed :
"lpadmin -p Stylus_Photo_750 -o usb-unidir-default=true"
and the problem was gone. Then I ran :
"lpadmin -p Stylus_Photo_750 -o usb-unidir-default=false"
and it was back, then :
"lpadmin -p Stylus_Photo_750 -o usb-unidir-default=true"
and it was gone again.
So, it Looks like it is solved !
Thanks again,

Denis

PS : will there be a fix in Wheezy so that other Epson stylus photo users don't have to face the same problem ?
