(resending, so this actually shows up in the web log) <sigh> While 0.79 may address the new issue raised by [email protected] in message #39, it does _not_ address the original issue, which relates to u-a refusing to upgrade a package if doing so would cause another package to be deleted, even when conflicts/provides/replaces are in play.
Like the original requestor, I'd very much like to see a knob that changes this behavior, at least in cases where the deleted package is being replaced. -- Jeffrey T.
