Hi, I'd like to propose that this bug be fixed in an upload to experimental, and I am willing to do the NMU for that.
I don't suggest this to push you, or be aggressive or step on your work. I know some people have some of those feelings about NMUs, I only offer the NMU in the spirit of respect and help.
