Hello,

first of all, you should know that the version of vifm that you're
using is **very** old. The latest release is 0.7.4b, and 0.7.5 will
be released soon. You can try the 0.7.4a version package in
experimental (don't worry about bugs, it's *much more* stable then
0.4-1).

Comparing to version 0.4 current vifm has these improvements regarding
file moving/deleting:

 - D operator (so shortcuts are Dj, DD, ...) to remove files not using
 Trash directory;

 - 'trashdir' option to specify location of Trash directory;

 - P operator to move files (so instead of doing dd and then p, one can
   do yy and P, which will move file directly from source directory to
   destination directory).

I know that usually file managers have one trash directory per
partition, but silently creating of trash directories on each partition
doesn't seem to be a much better idea than current implementation.
Though, it's a subject to discuss.

Regards,
xaizek
