The bug originates in gnatmake, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=680292
In Ubuntu, --as-needed is the system default and your patch makes sense for packages relying on a faulty gnatmake version. But I am reluctant to silently strip a non-default flag in the upstream or Debian parts only to circumvent a bug in the build system. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
