Note that this is fixed in the newly-released Ice 3.5.

However, they managed to screw up the name resolution.  From their
release notes: "When resolving hostnames, for backward compatibility,
Ice will still prefer using the IPv4 address when the hostname resolves
to both an IPv4 and an IPv6 address. This behavior can be changed with
the new Ice.PreferIPv6Address property."

If you're thinking that this is totally boneheaded and doesn't match
the default resolver behaviour on /any/ platform, then you'd be
correct.  We'll need to patch Ice.PreferIPv6Address to default to
IPv6 by default to make this work sensibly.
