Package: libgmp3-doc Version: 4.1.4-6 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 2.2.1
According to the copyright file (and the texinfo file itself), the GMP documentation is released under the GFDL license (v1.1 or later) and hence does not comply with the DFSG. See <http://home.twcny.rr.com/nerode/neroden/fdl.html> <http://people.debian.org/%7Esrivasta/Position_Statement.xhtml> for details on the issues that most debian-legal contributors see in the GFDL license. In order to solve this issue, upstream copyright holder should be contacted and asked for a license change (unlikely, since the copyright holder is the FSF...) Otherwise, the package should be moved to the non-free section, possibly leaving the (L)GPL'd demo code in main (in a separate libgmp3-examples package) See <http://release.debian.org/removing-non-free-documentation> for further information about moving non-free docs out of main. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.31 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
