Package: mediathekview
Version: 3.1.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Control: block -1 by 703198

I'm filing this bug report in case someone is wondering why the latest
upstream version of MediathekView has not already been packaged.

MediathekView 3.2.1 introduces a couple of new UI improvements but
also requires jide-oss, a java library. I have packaged this library,
filed an ITP [1] and the package is already in NEW. [2]

Depending on how fast the ftp-masters process the request, it can take
up to several weeks until the new java library is installed in the
archive. I did not want to ship the prebuilt jar file with MV
accompanied by the sources because i think the right way is to build
jide-oss as a separate package.

In short: It will take a while until the new release but you won't
miss much if you are using version 3.1.0 at the moment.
