Running
LD_DEBUG=libs python -c 'help("modules")' 2>&1 | grep "gtk"
should be enough to see if both libgtk-3 and libgtk-x11-2.0 get loaded.
If you can see libgtk-3.so.0 and libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 in the output of
that command, it's the same problem as described in #697402.
