I'd like to help this process even after this list is created, in the interest of speeding up other communities forming around and joining the Debian project. A number of people in Quebec have expressed their availability to work on RC bugs and generally speaking start contributing in a more formal way, but we're blocked waiting for this mailing list as other means of collaboration seemed inpractical to be used elsewhere. Modern tools let anyone create their own collaboration spaces in minutes on Google Groups, Facebook, etc., and we also want to avoid that at all costs. I realize there needs to be proper due dilligence before accepting a resource in Debian but this doesn't help get new users interested and involved.
