They just got accepted into experimental. It'd be nice to have this in im-config so that we (both in Debian and Ubuntu) can use im-config to select Maliit, so any review of this patch would be appreciated. If you want to test it, rebuilding maliit-framework and maliit-plugins from Ubuntu on Debian would probably be wise — they've had some upstream and packaging changes that I haven't yet put into experimental because it was in NEW already (and might hold off on for now since they will require another round of binNEW).
