See pochu's work at [1]. I'm actually confused now a little bit where the canonical Debian repo is supposed to be if you say that you imported the version too. Weren't you handing over the package to the Debian GNOME team (or was it the other way around). I honestly don't remember. Please have a look at [1] though to avoid duplicate work.
