Same thing happened to me today. Restoring /home/ronbar6 changed ownership
of / to ronbar6:ronbar6 and also changed permissions to something different
than 555 (I dont remember).

I use tar for backup and restore. I see something funny on the logs:

What are those "./" doing there??!?... I think that is what is making
us unhappy.
